A family-led custom home builder in the Texas Hill Country

David Young grew up in his father's commercial construction business, where he learned from an early age that honesty, integrity, and keeping your word are the foundations of a successful business.

After earning a degree in Construction Technology, David joined his father's company and became General Manager in 1984. Following the sale of the family business, David joined a large homebuilding corporation, where he spent the next ten years gaining extensive experience in residential construction, estimating, and production management.

David eventually pursued his passion for craftsmanship and custom homebuilding, first building custom homes in the Houston market before relocating to Austin, Texas. In 2002, he founded Young Homes, establishing a reputation for quality construction, attention to detail, and personalized service.

Throughout his career, David has built homes in some of Central Texas's most distinguished communities, including Barton Creek, Spanish Oaks, and Horseshoe Bay, as well as custom ranch homes throughout the Texas Hill Country.

Today, David continues to approach every project with the same principles his father instilled in him decades ago.

As Owner and Vice President of Young Homes, LLC, Sam Young brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience in residential construction to every project.

Sam grew up in the Texas Hill Country and graduated from Tarleton State University in the early 2000s. After college, he spent nearly a decade working in the financial industry in Dallas before realizing that his true passion was homebuilding. He then returned to Young Homes, and has been involved with the company ever since.

As a third-generation builder and seventh-generation Texan, he has deep roots in the Texas Hill Country and a strong understanding of the factors that influence construction in this region. From local architectural styles and building requirements to the unique soil conditions, terrain, climate, and engineering considerations that affect Texas homes and foundations, he believes regional knowledge is essential to building a home that stands the test of time.
